Lisa Spinelli is a freelance journalist, copy editor and mother of two. After receiving her Master of Science in print journalism from Columbia University in 2004, Lisa worked across the country and in Italy as a journalist, editor and Web editor. She has published hundreds of articles with such sources as
The Associated Press, The Houston Chronicle, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Phoenix, Red Herring,
The Connection Papers,
The Oklahoma Gazette, GothamGazette.com, various
Patch.com sites, and many more. Her website
LisaSpinelli.com has links to a smattering of her published clips.
In addition to her reporting and editing skills, Lisa is an aspiring author represented by Dystel & Goderich Literary Management. She has spoken at Columbia University about New Media topics, copyedited white papers, proposals and websites for a number of companies in the D.C. and NYC area, and worked on advertising campaigns and public relations materials for a number of artists, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and local defense companies.
Having two small daughters at home has helped Lisa return to her love of Dr. Seuss, rolling around in the grass, and all things glittery. She enjoys cooking elaborate, hastily prepared meals for her family, dreaming about Caribbean vacations and wishing she could stay awake past 10 p.m.
