The Board of Zoning Adjustment today voted to approve the concept for an eight-unit, zero-parking residential building at 1220 Potomac Ave SE.
Previous iterations of the project were held up over
parking and curb cuts; the latest version eliminates parking entirely. The units are all one-bedroom, to appeal to "non-driving young urban dwellers who rely primarily on public transportation, biking and shared driving opportunities or schemes," the developer said in a statement to the BZA. 1220 Potomac Ave SE is two blocks from the Potomac Ave metro.
It was not immediately clear whether the development would be rental or for-sale.
