Neighborhood group supports liquor license for Barracks Row restaurant

 
The Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6B voted last week to support the liquor license request for a new restaurant in the former Kraze Burger spot at 415 8th Street SE, Hill Rag reported. ANCs are neighborhood groups that advise the district government on issues in their local areas.
 
The as-yet-unnamed Barracks Row restaurant would be part of the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, which currently has 16 restaurants in the area. Michael Babin, head of the group, agreed to several conditions for the ANC’s support, including indoor trash storage, noise abatement and odor control. The ANC support was preliminary to a hearing in August before the district liquor board.
