The Dew Drop Inn is opening tonight at 2801 8
th St NE, the
blog Brookland Bridge reports. The inn takes over the premises of Chocolate City Beer, and is run by the same folks who are responsible for The Wonderland Ballroom in Columbia Heights. The bar/restaurant is near the entrance to the Metropolitan Branch Trail. There’s indoor seating for 68; an outdoor patio seats 21. Dew Drop will have a 10 by 10-foot dance floor and live musical entertainment with a focus on jazz and acoustic quartet. The menu has been described as “American deli,” a mix of soups, salads, sandwiches and barbeque. The Wonderland Ballroom, a staple in Columbia Heights, is a beer garden with a pub menu.
