Andrew Zimmern, the host of Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods," has traveled to D.C. to sample some of the capitol's finest culinary delights.
In the episode, which airs Monday, Feb. 11, Zimmern visits Horace and Dickie's and Jose Andres's America Eats tavern (guess this episode was filmed a while ago), and eats Ethiopian and Salvadorian food.
Aside from the fermented false banana (known as kocho and apparently an Ethiopian delicacy), and maybe the snakehead, we're not so sure that Zimmern found many bizarre foods. Certainly scrapple at Horace and Dickie's and curtido at the ethnic market is less bizarre than some of the other things Zimmern has eaten over the past six seasons. Bull's blood, anyone?
