Next City has named D.C. Office of Planning director Harriet Tregoning as a "city disruptor" on its 2012 Disruption Index, saying that there's "probably no one making as big an impact on the changing shape of the city than Harriet Tregoning."
"From plans for streetcars to expanding cycling infrastructure to launching the nation’s largest bike share program to aggressive historic preservation efforts, Tregoning has ushered in urban policies that are changing D.C.’s form for the better," Next City says.
Full disclosure: the Office of Planning is one of our underwriters, but like all our funders, OP does not have influence over what stories are covered or how.
