Washington, D.C. is one of the top places for young adults to go post-college, a new study from the Business Journal says. That's because it's a market with strong population growth, good employment growth in both the long and short term, and a high population of other people around the same age.
Nationwide, the Business Journal ranked D.C. as the third best location, falling behind San Jose, Calif., and Austin, Tex. However, D.C. ranked first for the percentage 18-34-year-olds with a bachelor's degree, at 38.6 percent. Makes you wonder if new grads might want to consider going somewhere where there is less competition.
On the other hand, our happy hour scene is
unbeatable.
