Donna Harris, cofounder of 1776, shared her "Big Ideas" for the new year--with the
Chicago Tribune, in a story where the other innovators quoted were all based in or near the Windy City.
Harris
told the paper that the biggest idea to watch this year is how traditional industry will be changed by tech: "We still get educated the same ways, access health care the same way, get stuck in traffic congestion, and pay our electric bill without knowing why it is what it is. Entrepreneurs are increasingly looking at traditional industry and asking why it operates the say it does."
1776's
Challenge Cup has been traveling; after the regional semifinals in D.C., the cup's second stop on its tour
was Chicago late last year, still apparently fresh in the minds of many Chicagoans.
