D.C. ranked ninth on a list of "drunkest cities" compiled by the Daily Beast late last year.
To achieve this dubious honor, the District beat out locations like Las Vegas and Baton Rouge, while losing to Milwaukee as well as the capital of drunkenness, Boston.
According to the stats compiled by the Daily Beast, from Experian Marketing Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average D.C. adult consumes 15.6 alcoholic beverages per month. A Hill intern can probably get through that much during a happy hour, actually, so it's funny D.C. didn't rank higher.
