Microsoft has opened an Innovation Lounge within 1776 for the tech incubator's member startups.
It includes an XBox One, a 3d printer, and access to a bunch of other Microsoft technology, like Windows Phone, the company's line of Surface tablets, and an enormous touchscreen display.
This doesn't replace the planned Microsoft Innovation Center that will open (someday) in the St. Elizabeths East campus in Congress Heights, Microsoft said in a
blog post. It's simply that "Washington, D.C. is a good place to be if you are embarking on a new venture and have a focus in the areas of education, health, energy or smart cities."
