So Others Might Eat was issued a building permit on Mon. May 18 for construction of a mixed-use project at 4414 Benning Road NE. The D.C. nonprofit intends to build a new seven-story building that will include 110 apartment units, 92-rooming house units, a trade school with room for seven teachers and 140 students, as well as office space and a parking garage. The property, consisting of two lots and part of a third, is in Ward 7, ANC 7D.
