Capital City Real Estate is unveiling its latest project, a rowhouse in Adams Morgan that has been converted to four condos.
The Province, at 2435 Ontario Rd NW, will be on display at an open house Sunday.
Victor Valentine, Capital City Real Estate's director of sales and marketing, explains that the roughly 5,200-square-foot building started as a rowhome but has been almost entirely rebuilt, as well as extended back and down to create more room in each unit.
The basement unit, a 1-bedroom plus a den, is selling in the mid- to high-$400s. The penthouse unit up top, on the other hand, is "a million-dollar view without the million-dollar price tag." (It'll be priced in the mid-$900s, Valentine says.) Valentine also says that from the roof deck of the penthouse condo, "you can see all the way to Virginia." A reporter on the deck on a chilly November afternoon could, in fact, see the U.S. Air Force Memorial in Arlington.
Valentine says that previous Capital City projects have sold out pre-construction, but that the company chose to hold an open house to show off its work to a broader community.
City records show that 2435 Ontario Road was originally built in 1914. Capital City Real Estate purchased the building last year for $800,000.
