About half of of the apartment units at Takoma Central will be ready in April, with more units opening up in May, according to one the project’s developer.
The 150-unit apartment building at 235 Carroll St NW features a pedestrian path leading to the Takoma Park Metrorail station. All of the units will be ready for leasing by July. Rental rates haven’t been determined yet for the studios, one- and two-bedroom units, says
Level 2 Development senior development manager Jon Kardon. Level 2 is partnering with Federal Capital Partners on the project.
Amenities will include a fitness center, business center, outdoor terrace, a community room, bike storage and a courtyard with a firepit. The apartments will feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, ceramic tile bathrooms, and balconies in some units.
The Bozzuto Group of Greenbelt is handling leasing for the units.
Takoma Central will be anchored by café and performance space
Busboys & Poets on the first floor.
Busboys was slated to house a farmers market but that deal fell through, Kardon says.
Kardon says the developer is entertaining different options for the two remaining retail spaces--one 1,000 square feet, the other 2,000 square feet.
