Director and producer Julie Espinosa is working on a documentary about the D.C. cab industry, focusing on the ins and outs of a very rapidly changing industry.
In the trailer, Espinosa quotes a current cab driver as saying, "It's just nervewracking to see the way it's going...on the other side of that coin I must say, we, cab drivers, are mostly at fault. We do not fight, we do not come to meetings, we do not get together."
As much as the movie is about cab drivers, it's also about "the D.C. Council and the legislative operations of a capital city without statehood," Espinosa tells DCist.
She will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign to help the documentary get made. In the meantime,
