Must be all the Hill interns. A new poll from research firm Harris Interactive finds that D.C. and Boston tie for the number of people who drink beer, wine or the hard stuff at least once a week.
According to the poll, which was conducted online (and thus has some inherent sampling bias, but let's ignore that for now), 44 percent of those polled say they drink at least once a week. The poll also shows that compared to an average of 10 major cities, we're more likely to drink almost every
type of alcoholic beverage than the average person elsewhere, except for liqueurs and cordials.
We also love our rum; according to the poll, more people (37 percent) in D.C. enjoy rum than drinkers in other major cities.
