D.C. gets an A+ on its report card from the American Wine Consumer Association, a self-described advocacy organization for wine lovers.
The report card looked at various factors, including access to a variety of wines in stores, whether wine can be ordered over the Internet, and whether restaurants allow corkage. D.C. scored very well on all these factors, earning it an A+ and the designation of #1 state in the country for wine lovers.
"The District of Columbia is the promised land for wine lovers," the report concluded.
