It's no secret to any local that D.C. museum fare has improved wildly from the dark days, when your options included overpriced burgers and other cafeteria fare. (Though we're looking at you,
Air and Space Museum. It's time to up your game.)
So it's nice to see D.C.'s museums attracting
national attention for their dishes. (Yes, sometimes even locals go to the Smithsonian museums.)
Never mind that The Daily Meal's article cited only three D.C. museums (the other two were Mount Vernon and the Baltimore Museum of Art--not bad museums by any stretch, but hardly D.C.). That's still three standout dishes in a town still—
still—not known outside of the area for its dining scene.
